Gable-End Attic Fans

The gable mounted version is for homes with hard roofing materials, such as slate, or clay tile or for home-owners who don’t want to mount a fan on the roof. The gable version comes with a high-quality Dayton Premium Shutter. Gable installation is usually a little bit more complex than roof-top installation (for instance, creating the opening in a brick home or having to cut and reinforce a stud in the attic wall, cut through siding and caulk from the outside on a ladder). A version without the shutter is available for those who already have an existing large louver vent in the attic wall.

The gable version without shutters (gwos) promises to be the easiest fan to install as long as you already have a louvered vent that is big enough already in the wall (see specs below)
